I’m really passionate about learning languages!

I started learning languages in school (admittedly, not a choice at that point) and have dipped my toes in quite a few over the years.

I’ve spent the most significant time with Mandarin Chinese - I studied this for 5 years full-time over my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Edinburgh, Beijing, Taipei, and Cambridge. You can look at my CV if you want to know more about that.

Beyond that, I’ve usually picked up other languages either from study at school (French, Italian) or through a combination of private classes and self-study (Japanese, Scottish Gaelic).
